Summary

Well-rounded student with strong academics and extracurricular experience. Passionate about robotics, particularly autonomous and intelligent systems. Seeking to expand engineering knowledge and experience to design, develop, and optimize mechatronic and robotic systems that advance automation and contribute to the betterment of society.

Education

  • Mechatronics Engineering
    2028-05
    Texas A&M University
Courses: Calculus I–III, Differential Equations, Electricity & Magnetism, Engineering Mechanics, Metallic Materials, Circuit Analysis, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Embedded Systems Development in C

Work Experience

  • R&D Robotics Engineer - Software Subteam
    2025-09 - Present
Researched and implemented ROS 2 Humble, PX4, and MAVROS frameworks in simulation environments to support a UAV swarm platform designed to assist first responders with visual data, mapping, and minimal human input during disaster response missions.
  • Hardware Team Member
    2025-09 - Present
Contributed to the Sentry Robot’s autonomous ground vehicle design using OnShape CAD and integrated NVIDIA Jetson Orin, LiDAR sensors, and cameras for real-time perception and decision-making.
  • AEOP Summer Robotics Research Intern - LLMs for Safe Navigation REU
    2025-06 - 2025-08
Architected a low-cost autonomous RC rally car research platform using ROS 2. Designed and soldered custom PCBs, integrated Raspberry Pi 5/Jetson Nano and motor controllers, and developed a robust C++/ROS 2 low-level controller for precise Ackerman steering and throttle control.
  • Hatchling Team Member
    2025-01 - 2025-09
Designed mechanical components in SolidWorks and programmed ESP32 and Arduino controllers to enable precise navigation and a multi-stage lift mechanism. Won 2nd place at the 2025 TURTLE Robotics Hatchling Competition.
  • Student Researcher
    2022-09 - 2024-03
Developed EcoTrack, a phototropic solar tracker using thermoresponsive polymers that eliminated electrical tracking components. Demonstrated 87% more net energy than a traditional dual-axis tracker and 119% more than a fixed panel system.
  • Mechatronics Research Intern - WATonoBus Autonomous Shuttle
    2021-06 - 2021-09
Designed and programmed an LED display module to communicate shuttle intent to other road users. Completed over 60 hours of development under Professor Amir Khajepour and received a scholarship for demonstrated excellence.
